I'm Asian, and I haven't grown anywhere close to a beard yet. When I was a senior in high school, there were non-Asian sophomores who have shaved full grown beards. I haven't shaved before. All I have is a light mustache that's not quite as dark as my eyebrows. I'm 18, and almost 19, and I'm thinking of starting shaving when I start growing facial hair. I heard that if I shaved my mustache, it would grow back thicker so then I would have to shave it every day.
Should I shave it?
Is this what you really want to do?? shave everyday... It will grow, give it time and in the mean time just enjoy your baby face.. good luck.
Should I shave it?
Only if you want to. I'm Asian too and I don't like Asian guys with facial hair! I think it looks dirty!
Should I shave it?
up to you. I prefer it shaved
Should I shave it?
OK, first shaving does not make a beard or mustache grow thicker. That's an old wives tale. Iv been shaving for 15 years. If it looks good and you like it keep it if it doesn't shave it. I don't mean to cast aspersions but a lot of Asian men have scraggly beards and mustaches that need to be shaved off. Five long scraggly hairs is not a beard.
Should I shave it?
if you really do want a beard shave it because it will grow thicker, if not don't shave. look like ya wanna and %uck what other people say. you'll still be a sexy asian guy, beard or no beard!
Should I shave it?
Hair doesn't grow back thicker when you shave, but see how many thumbs down I get for saying it. It remains a highly cherished belief.
It is just the thicker middle rather than the thin ends being exposed.
If your facial hair is only coming in light, shave it. Nothing worse than bum-fluff on the face. Reminds people of how young and immature someone is.
I'm Caucasian living in HK, most Asians have less facial hair, and it starts later. Nothing to worry about. I have the thick stuff and it started at 14. I would have loved to swap at almost any point in my life. If I don't shave, I get one day of George Michael, then after that I'm a street-sleeper. I'm a slave to my face.
If like many Asians yours comes in light and in patches at first you won't have to shave every day, maybe not for all your life. But even if it does come back quickly, the black dot stubble should be neat and mature looking for a few days.
But get used to it, shaving is gonna become a part of your life, like it or not. One tip, a safety razor is safe except on the bags of the eyes or the lips. You'll soon learn the limitations but to start don't go too high up the cheek or too close to the mouth without extreme care.
Should I shave it?
Give it a try if you want to.
I don't think I would.
Should I shave it?
you dirrrty ho!!!
Should I shave it?
That's a myth that it will grow back thicker. It's actuall just an illusion, because once your hair grows longer it will look the same. You still have the same number of hairs, the same width of hairs. You're just cutting hairs at the surface, not plucking them and putting more hairs in.
Anyway, I don't know wha tyou look like so it's hard to say. I know Mike Shinoda grew a goatee that was thick and it looked good. But since I don't know what you look like, it's hard to tell. Don't be afraid, just try it and ask someone. It's worth a shot.
