Seems like most of the Asian ladies say over 40 have hair that is well, falling out?

Is this like a genetic thing? or maybe cause there hairs black so shows up more?

Anyone noticed this before??

Seems like most of the Asian ladies say over 40 have hair that is well, falling out?

im asian and that's not always true. if u perm and dye ur hair too much, it'll fall out. or if ur stressin too much or have bad genes. my mom is over 40 and her hair is still nice and full, so are my aunts.

Seems like most of the Asian ladies say over 40 have hair that is well, falling out?

Maybe asian women have such fine and thin hair...

Seems like most of the Asian ladies say over 40 have hair that is well, falling out?

They are just more conscious about their hair as its considered a sign of beauty. Asian women in general are very particular about teir skin and hair. So they tend to panic in case of any hairfall.

Seems like most of the Asian ladies say over 40 have hair that is well, falling out?

It all depends what the do to their hair and if they take good care of it not all women's hair falls out.

Hairstyle question?

hmm... okay... i'm a 12 yr. old asian girl. and I have black hair..... My hair is cut a little past my shoulders in layers and I have the side bangs up to my chin. I was planning to cut it or something..... but I don't know. please give me a new hairstyle.... All I normally do with my hair is straighten it and leave it down.

email me if you need to.....

xsnoopygurlx08@yahoo.com

thanks :]

Hairstyle question?

Get side swept bangs. Since you already have bangs just cut them until your cheek bone. Just cut it long then keep it get on shorter and shorter slowly so you don't have to worry about messing up :]

Hairstyle question?

pervert is about young lady,

watch out

Hairstyle question?

you could get it a little shorter if you wanted and not straighten it or grow it out and not straighten it. if you want temporary crimpy hair sleep with your hair in braids.

Hairstyle question?

Hmmm... try some curling and highlights? That's always good for a new look.

Hairstyle question?

if you have a heart shaped face, go super short! i have provided a few links to hair cuts that you might like:

and i really liked this site- you can select your hair color and a category and get all these different options!

Hairstyle question?

if you really want a change i would do a chin length razored bob. because you have asian hair the razoring will give it texture and release some of the weight making it move more freely.

Flat iron or Japanese straight perm from a salon?

I'm Asian and I don't have super straight hair. It's "wavy" as my hair stylist calls it. I was wondering which is better ... to get a main brand flat iron or to just spend it on a Japanese straight perm. The flat irons I'm looking at are the Chi 1 inch http://www.originalchi.com/chi-turbo-fla... and Solia http://www.folica.com/Solia_Pink_Limi_d2... . If any of you have (or had) wavy hair, what do you suggest? Thanks!

Flat iron or Japanese straight perm from a salon?

For a long time I hated my thick wavy hair and dreamed for straight Asian hair. Then I realized that my Asian sisters wanted MY hair, and I thought, gee, I could do more with my hair, I could wear it straight or go "wavy". My hair could hold a curl better, and my "mood hair" suddenly didn't seem so bad and awful after all. It all took a simple yet powerful change in perspective to realize and appreciate what I had. And of course there are the people out there that are losing or have no hair...

Too much styling and coloring by the way does stress and strip the hair too.

Flat iron or Japanese straight perm from a salon?

My hair is "wavy" also and i use a ceramic hair straightener and it works great. Japenese hair straightening is usually for people with very curly or permed hair and may actually damage your hair.

Flat iron or Japanese straight perm from a salon?

The answer all depends on the exact type of hair you have and what your expectations are. If you ever want the option of having curly or wavy hair, I would not recommend the Japanese straightening. But don't get the Chi if your hair is coarse--you will need to put it up to high temps to straighten and eventually will fry your hair. Plus, if you get into humidity, your hair will go back to its original state.

I highly recommend that you get a Japanese straight perm. But with one huge caveat--find a very reputable person to do it, otherwise, your hair could be severely damaged! Downsides--cost is not cheap ($300 in my area for the first perm and cost is less the next time--which you will do about 3-5 months later, depending on individual hair growth) and the first time you do it can be more time consuming than you might think (my hair took 5 hours the first time and about 3 hours for touch ups).

If your hair is just wavy, why fight it? Lots of styles are way cute for you! I would only recommend the straight perm if your hair is poofy, frizzy, coarse or otherwise difficult to deal with. Then just use the Chi on special occasions. If you do get a Chi, I'd splurge on the one with temperature controls.

I've been going to a professional for 4 years who does a fantastic job with her straightening perms and have been happy with the results. I thought I would take off about a year--rest my hair, and wallet--big mistake. The Chi "fried" my hair (very thick, coarse and difficult) and since I have few other choices to tame my mane, I always will use the Japanese straightening perm. .

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

The title of this, is the question, my answer:

I have.

I am Mexican[my dads side were Kumeyaay Indian-Spanish, my moms side was Aztecan-Spanish].

In case you don't know: Kumeyaay Indian were Native Americans that lived in Southern California.

On my moms side, moms side[my grandmas side], her mother[my great-grandma], was full blooded Spanish, and moved to Mexico from Spain and married a Mexican man, with Aztec-Spanish heritage.

So, I'm Mexican, and I have ALWAYS been mistaken for being Asian. I have dark-brown-black hair, that is a LITTLE wavy, which I sometimes straighten, and dark brown eyes, I also have a pale-tan skin tone...

Anyways, NOBODY believes me when I tell them I'm Mexican, not Asian.

My mom looks of mixed race, and my dad looks European.

So typical conversations:

Person: Are you Filipino, Japanese or Korean?

Me: I'm Mexican...

Person: Are you serious? You're lying!

Me: ...

Has anything similiar happened to you? And can you explain why I would be mistaken for Asian?

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

I have always been in a proffesion where I meet and speak face to face with people of all different physical backgrounds, and nearly everone I meet asks me about my ethnic background because Im dark skinned black hair brown eyes, etc.I am caucasion American born and raised in the USA.My mothers distant relatives come from Germany and My fathers side from England wich kinda makes me English and German I guess. My last name is 100% English.I am mistaken for all different types of people and that to me is a wonderful thing! You are very lucky that people are curious about your background.Your natural looks make it easy for people to start a conversation with you.So be proud to have such a beautiful gift. You could meet many lifelong True friends(Like I have). You were given this gift for a reason so use it for the reason it was given to you.I love all people and I am thankful to for their curiosity as you should be too.Good luck to you.Hope I helped answer your question.

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

Yes, Romulan!

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

People say that I act black

People say that I talk like Im mexican

It is annoying

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

My sister is always mistaken for an asian. You're not my sister are you?

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

Some people from Mexico can look Asian. This is not a stereotype just from my experience. Many Filipinos have mixed blood like Mexicans with Spanish. Some Filipino look Mexican

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

Yes,

People think I'm Latino.

I'm Black and White.

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

if you are Mexican you are Caucasion

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

On a few occasions some people have mistaken me for being hispanic, but I only have caucasian relatives.

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

Yeah, being a skeleton nobody knows WHAT my race is.

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

when i cut all my hair off [crazy I KNOW]

everyone thought i was a boy

if that counts.

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

LOL ive been mistaken for being singaporian by some chinese people.im native american too.its the eyes.

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

yes...im italian and czech, but i look very italian (dark hair, dark eyes, and tan skin) but people always say "i thought you were spanish!" and i find that really weird because i really dont look spanish at all.

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

I'm not sure this would count, but I've been mistaken for Jewish, but have absolutely no Jewish ancestors.

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

yea i know what you mean like im 50 % a. american or black ever one thinks im white and think im not telling the truth

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

thats interesting i have noticed a lot of spanish or mexican people look asian because a lot of fillipinos marry mexicans but thats not your case.........don't get offended just let them know you are hispanic

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

Yes my ancestry is French but people have thought I was German or Swedish...go figure!!!!! (You know, it really doesn't matter what people think!!!)

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

It's never happened to me, but I've seen people mistake others. I've even seen people mistaking other's genders!

I think it's because they've never seen someone of your ethnicity, so they just go with the next closest thing?

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

Well there's this girl i went to high school with and she was hispanic. i grew up with her and always thought she was like filipiuno until senior year!

Well sometimes hispanic people look similar to asians.

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

Once I was asked if I was Puerto Rican. Since I'm entirely of Irish descent, that had me scratching my head a little...

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

yes it happens all the time thats where i got my name chiiney, im actually jamaican and native but i get asian, spanish, just black (light skined)

its the hair coour skin colour and shape of eyes

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

No, people always peg me for my accurate heritage/family background. It's the hair.

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

I always get asked What Are You? I am Portuguese, Spaniard, Aztec Indian, Shusume Indian, and Hispanic. I am told that I am pretty but they just can't figure out what I am. So I just say I am ME.

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

Yes but then again I am mutliracial.

I am Seychelles, which is a mixture of Chinese, Indian, and French, and British. Seychelles Island is just off the coast of Africa.

Also I am mixed with Dominican, Irish, and Seminole which is Native American tribe from Florida.

For the most part I look black or hispanic either Dominican or a darker Puerto Rican. Since my hair is naturally curly.

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

Mine is the exact opposite. I'm asian. my eyes aren't the stereotypical one eyelid type. when i get really tanned, my hair turns from black to dark brown. i have been stopped in New Mexico several times because i looked 'mexican', even though on my passport it very clearly states I'm chinese. interesting, huh?

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

yea i kno how that is.i got mistaken for asian when ppl first meet me because of my pale tan skin, hair, and eyes.i guess my eyes look a lil slanted like im asian or something but i dont understand.im a full blooded native.my parents are full native also and my grandparents are full native too so i dnt kno why im mistaken for asian.ESPECIALLY my height. im about 5'8 or 5'9 now and i dnt kno about you (and no offense to whoever may read this) but i dnt really think an asian could be THIS tall at this age!!

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

I am an Asian but so many people misunderstand me.They ask me weather I am talking Spanish.

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

yeah, some think I'm puerto rican. I'm half black and half native american/white.

EDIT: I also have quite a few Hispanic friend and I got a tiny accent now, also, I speak a little spanish so...

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

I get mistaken for being Italian a lot. In all actuality, I am Irish/Polish, among small portions of other European Nationalities.

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

I'm Mexican and Peruvian and people think I'm Vietnamese, Japanese, or White and Asian.

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

Don't let it bother you if people think you are Japanese or whatever, don't you think Japanese women are beautiful or Korean women. It's their problem if they think you're lying.

I get mistaken when abroad, some think I am a Turk in Turkey, in Pakistan they thought I was Iranian, in Cyprus Arabic, in the Airport in London I had Jews saying shalom to me. In Rome, they thought we were Italian at first becuase we couldn't speak a word of Italian they thought we were Spanish then. It doesn't bother me in the least. There are attractive people of all races. It makes me smile when people mistake me for their own race. It's no big deal. I don't mind.

I can't explain why you would be unless I saw your photo. Perhaps you have fair skin and oriental type small eyes. Without seeing a photo it's hard to say. Don't let it bother you.

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

The same thing has always happened to me.

I am Somalian and every time i move to a new school or meet new people they allways mistaken me for an Asian.

They say it is because of my skin complexion. I don't know what they mean by that but hay.
