I want a makeover....please help me before school starts?

I have a very round shape face. I am asian. My hair is quite long (way below my shoulder). I had my hair straightened a couple of months ago, but now the perm is gone...so my hair is not exactly in good condition. I am sick of my long hair and I want to cut it badly (any cut below the shoulder is fine with me). I want your help. Please tell me a good hair cut for my face shape. Should I get side bangs, etc?? I am open to suggestions.

Get your hair cut into layers, but keep it long-- short hair will make your face look like a dinner plate, instead of its natural, adorable shape. Ever seen "Grey's Anatomy"? Ellen Pompeo has these wispy wings off the side of her face; get some of those, but more subtle. In other words, get more volume by feathering out your hair just over your shoulders, in nice, soft layers. Also, condition and use a hair mask once a week, so it's nice and shiny. To maintain, use a horsehair brush and do a hundred strokes every night so it's glossy for the morning. John Frieda Hair Glaze would also be excellent to keep it looking healthy. Overall, general maintenence and a fresh cut every six weeks will be all you need to look like a sexy supermodel. And yes, swept away bangs would be cute and fit the look.

For a nice, easy makeup look, use a good mascara and a soft, silvery metallic eyeshadow (well-blended) to set off ypur eyes, and delicate peach or coral lips (universally flattering). To keep your skin nice and smooth, I would try Ile de Tahiti Hua'i Coconut Pulp Foaming Body Polish (get it on sale at Bath %26amp; Body Works) as a exfoliater, it works like a charm and smells great, too. Spray a bit of your favorite perfume on your ankles, in your hair, and just a dab on the inside of your shirt, between your breasts. Also, if you can, get a facial a week before school starts. By then, the redness will have vanished and you'll have a taut, glowing face, perfect to compliment your new hairstyle!

For clothes, I'd recommend dangly, hoop or hippie-ish earrings to compliment your new hair, or maybe some fun, loosely tangled necklaces and pendants. Babydoll and tunic dresses in soft white, cream, or eye-catching bright yellow are very chic and extremely comfortable, especially with capped sleeves or soft, ruffled details. Try pairing them with cork wedges or ballet flats. Wear lots of bangles, too; they are very eye-catching and attractive. If you want to a more edgy, exotic look, consider a henna tattoo-- they last about two weeks and have the most gorgeous designs, perfect to compliment your exotic features, plus you can get them anywhere-- neck, ankle, wrist...

In short, you'll be a bombshell.

I think you should cut it about shoulder length, with layers. Longer hair usually isn't good for a round shaped face, and layers are very "in" right now.

Round face shapes look good withour bangs, and hair cuts either above the ear, or below the shoulders.....do not cut to chin level or you'll look.....round. How about something long and layered? And maybe some highlights or something?

1. Find your face shape by measuring different parts of your face with a straight ruler.

-Oval: length or your face is one and a half times the width

-Square: forehead, jaw line and cheekbones are almost equal in width

-Long: face is longer than the oval shape

-Round: wider than it is long

-Heart: narrow at the jaw line and wide at the forehead and cheekbones

2. Find your style.

Oval: Will fit any style 閳ユ甫se you haircut to bring out your best features閳?br> Square: Avoid a jaw-length bob at all costs. To soften your jaw line, keep your face rounded with sexy waves, tumbling curls, and layers

Long: Long faces cry out for swooping fringes. Hair that閳ユ獨 too long will drag down your face. Stick with shorter lengths with layers to create body.

Round: Round faces have fullness around the cheekbones that needs narrowing. The most becoming cut for a fuller face is something unstructured with layers.

Heart: Chin-length bobs, soft waves and layers work well with this shape.
