Makeup for tired skin?

When I don't get enough sleep my skin looks dull/grey and dark circles are very obvious. I find that sometimes putting make up can make me look more tired. Does anyone have any tips for what kind of makeup (natural, classic, light, heavy, etc) or which colours to apply to tired skin? Any tips to wake up skin and for healthy glow? I'm 25, asian with medium fair skin, black hair and brown eyes. Thanks.

Try a tinted moisturizer which will give you glow (there are tons of different kinds- low end= Covergirl, Neutrogena and high end=Paula Dorf, Laura Mercier). Covergirl Medium Tinted moisturizer would be a good option to try before you decide to spend more money.

Definitely try a concealor that is a little lighter than your skintone and of a light consistency and dab it under your eyes and at the corners to brighten them up.

You can also try a pale gold eyeshadow to add some sparkle and line the upper lid with a thin line of brown eyeliner or eyeshadow(but not the lower lid).

And try a peachy lip gloss. The sheen will perk up your features, make you look more put together and will add some vibrancy and color to your face.

You can also try a blush to really wake your face up if you think you need it after the tinted moisturizer and other makeup. A peachy pink shade will be natural enough to make you look refreshed without making it look like you are wearing a lot of makeup :)

Mary Kay Foundation is great. It last 10 hours and leaves your skin looking flawless. Just click the link below.

When your skin is starting to look tired, it is time for a facial. You can give yourself one at home. Use a sponge with a mild soap to wash away all the dead skin. Turn on your hot water, put a towel over your head and stick your head in the sink allowing the steam to clean your pores (careful not to burn yourself). Always moisturise before bed time, after a shower, and before going outdoors. Massage your face but don't pull the skin around the eyes. Never wear makeup that is too light, this will make you more tired not to mention scary. One last tip, try pulling your hair back of your face. Hope this helps.

Use an oil base make-up.

Tired skin needs revitalization. Make up enhances beauty - but is not meant to conceal your skin. Whatever is there - it enhances!

SO...good skincare is the place to start. I would recommend Microdermabrasion to you. It totally resurfaces your skin...and eliminates a dull look. Make sure to use a product that is followed with a replenishing cream. You will love how your skin feels and looks.

For dark circles...a good eye cream will help. The best remedy is a neutralizing yellow concealer followed by a beige concealer for your skin tone. Do not apply foundation over the concealers...have your foundation meet up and blend with the beige that is covering the yellow. This way you do not have heaviness under the eye.

Once you have your skin happy - almost any colors look great. I too have black hair, brown eyes and I love a smokey grey/charcoal look on our skin.
