Flat iron or Japanese straight perm from a salon?

I'm Asian and I don't have super straight hair. It's "wavy" as my hair stylist calls it. I was wondering which is better ... to get a main brand flat iron or to just spend it on a Japanese straight perm. The flat irons I'm looking at are the Chi 1 inch http://www.originalchi.com/chi-turbo-fla... and Solia http://www.folica.com/Solia_Pink_Limi_d2... . If any of you have (or had) wavy hair, what do you suggest? Thanks!

Flat iron or Japanese straight perm from a salon?

For a long time I hated my thick wavy hair and dreamed for straight Asian hair. Then I realized that my Asian sisters wanted MY hair, and I thought, gee, I could do more with my hair, I could wear it straight or go "wavy". My hair could hold a curl better, and my "mood hair" suddenly didn't seem so bad and awful after all. It all took a simple yet powerful change in perspective to realize and appreciate what I had. And of course there are the people out there that are losing or have no hair...

Too much styling and coloring by the way does stress and strip the hair too.

Flat iron or Japanese straight perm from a salon?

My hair is "wavy" also and i use a ceramic hair straightener and it works great. Japenese hair straightening is usually for people with very curly or permed hair and may actually damage your hair.

Flat iron or Japanese straight perm from a salon?

The answer all depends on the exact type of hair you have and what your expectations are. If you ever want the option of having curly or wavy hair, I would not recommend the Japanese straightening. But don't get the Chi if your hair is coarse--you will need to put it up to high temps to straighten and eventually will fry your hair. Plus, if you get into humidity, your hair will go back to its original state.

I highly recommend that you get a Japanese straight perm. But with one huge caveat--find a very reputable person to do it, otherwise, your hair could be severely damaged! Downsides--cost is not cheap ($300 in my area for the first perm and cost is less the next time--which you will do about 3-5 months later, depending on individual hair growth) and the first time you do it can be more time consuming than you might think (my hair took 5 hours the first time and about 3 hours for touch ups).

If your hair is just wavy, why fight it? Lots of styles are way cute for you! I would only recommend the straight perm if your hair is poofy, frizzy, coarse or otherwise difficult to deal with. Then just use the Chi on special occasions. If you do get a Chi, I'd splurge on the one with temperature controls.

I've been going to a professional for 4 years who does a fantastic job with her straightening perms and have been happy with the results. I thought I would take off about a year--rest my hair, and wallet--big mistake. The Chi "fried" my hair (very thick, coarse and difficult) and since I have few other choices to tame my mane, I always will use the Japanese straightening perm. .

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

The title of this, is the question, my answer:

I have.

I am Mexican[my dads side were Kumeyaay Indian-Spanish, my moms side was Aztecan-Spanish].

In case you don't know: Kumeyaay Indian were Native Americans that lived in Southern California.

On my moms side, moms side[my grandmas side], her mother[my great-grandma], was full blooded Spanish, and moved to Mexico from Spain and married a Mexican man, with Aztec-Spanish heritage.

So, I'm Mexican, and I have ALWAYS been mistaken for being Asian. I have dark-brown-black hair, that is a LITTLE wavy, which I sometimes straighten, and dark brown eyes, I also have a pale-tan skin tone...

Anyways, NOBODY believes me when I tell them I'm Mexican, not Asian.

My mom looks of mixed race, and my dad looks European.

So typical conversations:

Person: Are you Filipino, Japanese or Korean?

Me: I'm Mexican...

Person: Are you serious? You're lying!

Me: ...

Has anything similiar happened to you? And can you explain why I would be mistaken for Asian?

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

I have always been in a proffesion where I meet and speak face to face with people of all different physical backgrounds, and nearly everone I meet asks me about my ethnic background because Im dark skinned black hair brown eyes, etc.I am caucasion American born and raised in the USA.My mothers distant relatives come from Germany and My fathers side from England wich kinda makes me English and German I guess. My last name is 100% English.I am mistaken for all different types of people and that to me is a wonderful thing! You are very lucky that people are curious about your background.Your natural looks make it easy for people to start a conversation with you.So be proud to have such a beautiful gift. You could meet many lifelong True friends(Like I have). You were given this gift for a reason so use it for the reason it was given to you.I love all people and I am thankful to for their curiosity as you should be too.Good luck to you.Hope I helped answer your question.

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

Yes, Romulan!

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

People say that I act black

People say that I talk like Im mexican

It is annoying

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

My sister is always mistaken for an asian. You're not my sister are you?

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

Some people from Mexico can look Asian. This is not a stereotype just from my experience. Many Filipinos have mixed blood like Mexicans with Spanish. Some Filipino look Mexican

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

Yes,

People think I'm Latino.

I'm Black and White.

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

if you are Mexican you are Caucasion

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

On a few occasions some people have mistaken me for being hispanic, but I only have caucasian relatives.

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

Yeah, being a skeleton nobody knows WHAT my race is.

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

when i cut all my hair off [crazy I KNOW]

everyone thought i was a boy

if that counts.

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

LOL ive been mistaken for being singaporian by some chinese people.im native american too.its the eyes.

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

yes...im italian and czech, but i look very italian (dark hair, dark eyes, and tan skin) but people always say "i thought you were spanish!" and i find that really weird because i really dont look spanish at all.

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

I'm not sure this would count, but I've been mistaken for Jewish, but have absolutely no Jewish ancestors.

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

yea i know what you mean like im 50 % a. american or black ever one thinks im white and think im not telling the truth

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

thats interesting i have noticed a lot of spanish or mexican people look asian because a lot of fillipinos marry mexicans but thats not your case.........don't get offended just let them know you are hispanic

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

Yes my ancestry is French but people have thought I was German or Swedish...go figure!!!!! (You know, it really doesn't matter what people think!!!)

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

It's never happened to me, but I've seen people mistake others. I've even seen people mistaking other's genders!

I think it's because they've never seen someone of your ethnicity, so they just go with the next closest thing?

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

Well there's this girl i went to high school with and she was hispanic. i grew up with her and always thought she was like filipiuno until senior year!

Well sometimes hispanic people look similar to asians.

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

Once I was asked if I was Puerto Rican. Since I'm entirely of Irish descent, that had me scratching my head a little...

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

yes it happens all the time thats where i got my name chiiney, im actually jamaican and native but i get asian, spanish, just black (light skined)

its the hair coour skin colour and shape of eyes

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

No, people always peg me for my accurate heritage/family background. It's the hair.

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

I always get asked What Are You? I am Portuguese, Spaniard, Aztec Indian, Shusume Indian, and Hispanic. I am told that I am pretty but they just can't figure out what I am. So I just say I am ME.

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

Yes but then again I am mutliracial.

I am Seychelles, which is a mixture of Chinese, Indian, and French, and British. Seychelles Island is just off the coast of Africa.

Also I am mixed with Dominican, Irish, and Seminole which is Native American tribe from Florida.

For the most part I look black or hispanic either Dominican or a darker Puerto Rican. Since my hair is naturally curly.

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

Mine is the exact opposite. I'm asian. my eyes aren't the stereotypical one eyelid type. when i get really tanned, my hair turns from black to dark brown. i have been stopped in New Mexico several times because i looked 'mexican', even though on my passport it very clearly states I'm chinese. interesting, huh?

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

yea i kno how that is.i got mistaken for asian when ppl first meet me because of my pale tan skin, hair, and eyes.i guess my eyes look a lil slanted like im asian or something but i dont understand.im a full blooded native.my parents are full native also and my grandparents are full native too so i dnt kno why im mistaken for asian.ESPECIALLY my height. im about 5'8 or 5'9 now and i dnt kno about you (and no offense to whoever may read this) but i dnt really think an asian could be THIS tall at this age!!

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

I am an Asian but so many people misunderstand me.They ask me weather I am talking Spanish.

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

yeah, some think I'm puerto rican. I'm half black and half native american/white.

EDIT: I also have quite a few Hispanic friend and I got a tiny accent now, also, I speak a little spanish so...

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

I get mistaken for being Italian a lot. In all actuality, I am Irish/Polish, among small portions of other European Nationalities.

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

I'm Mexican and Peruvian and people think I'm Vietnamese, Japanese, or White and Asian.

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

Don't let it bother you if people think you are Japanese or whatever, don't you think Japanese women are beautiful or Korean women. It's their problem if they think you're lying.

I get mistaken when abroad, some think I am a Turk in Turkey, in Pakistan they thought I was Iranian, in Cyprus Arabic, in the Airport in London I had Jews saying shalom to me. In Rome, they thought we were Italian at first becuase we couldn't speak a word of Italian they thought we were Spanish then. It doesn't bother me in the least. There are attractive people of all races. It makes me smile when people mistake me for their own race. It's no big deal. I don't mind.

I can't explain why you would be unless I saw your photo. Perhaps you have fair skin and oriental type small eyes. Without seeing a photo it's hard to say. Don't let it bother you.

Have you ever been mistaken for another race, ethnicity or culture?

The same thing has always happened to me.

I am Somalian and every time i move to a new school or meet new people they allways mistaken me for an Asian.

They say it is because of my skin complexion. I don't know what they mean by that but hay.

I Love her for 2 years but she doesnt even know my name?

I've been in love with this adorable, adorable little emo girl ever since I saw her 2 years ago. Well She's not really EMO but more like adorable, shy, sweet, asian, quiet, under sized [Small boned] and she cuts her hair edgily.[just thought theses characteristics make an emo?], Anyway, but she likes this other guy in our school who is ALSO adorable, shy, quiet, asian, under-sized, and has edgy hair, they're like the male and female version of each other, the only advantage I stand over that guy is that he is a year younger than her, HOW DO I MAKE HER HATE HIM AND LOVE ME??????

I Love her for 2 years but she doesnt even know my name?

There will no doubt be SOME obstancles in their relationship... Like you said, if he is a year younger than her and especially that you guys are in high school. That guy probably made his move because he's already think through that and he wouldn't mind having his girl-friend a bit older, but that doesn't mean it's okay with her... Yet. Meanwhile, you should really be start going up to her... Please believe me - you can never screw up THAT bad with these type of girls. You are in the same school she must have seen you around. Start by a smile, she's likely to look away but just keep smiling - try to hold her gaze.

Once she's familiar with you, try simple greedings and start short topics. It'll light up your day and hers, before you know it, she'll be happy to see you everyday.

"Male %26amp; Female version of each other" ... ...

If their relationship works out, it'll be a long, long wait for you because clone relationships usually last forever. Be happy for her and stay by her as her friend. You've waited for 2 years and it seems that you'll wait for even longer if this hasn't happened, so at least you'll be a part of her life instead of not, isn't that great already?

Support her, when the wait is over and when she's really over it and ready to start new, go for it, ask her out, she'll understand that you've been waiting for her all this time and she'll be really inspired, and that just might be the happily-ever-after for two of you :D

P.S.

Please don't try anything to make her hate him, I was desperate enough to do that once and ... ... " = . =

I Love her for 2 years but she doesnt even know my name?

May be she's not the one for you! God knows.

I Love her for 2 years but she doesnt even know my name?

This has restraining order written all over it.

I Love her for 2 years but she doesnt even know my name?

make her be lealous of you and make her notice you.Talk to her, make her laugh, hang at lunch or someplace.Be nice and friendly but not to friendly. But don't be to anoying.Give hers ome hints that u like her a lil but don't seem to anxious and try not to bother her to much cause us girls thinks thats really anoying and afterwards we'd most likely not like you one bit!

I Love her for 2 years but she doesnt even know my name?

So what are u waiting for than make a move but let me tell u something u can neve force anyone to love but to make them fall in love with u

I Love her for 2 years but she doesnt even know my name?

first of all dont try and screw wit another persons relationship. make her notice you and find out that you are the better guy for her

I Love her for 2 years but she doesnt even know my name?

ASK HER OUT ON A DATE OR MOVE ON WIT UR LIFE THERE MAY BE SOME ELSE

I Love her for 2 years but she doesnt even know my name?

no, no, No, No, NO NO!!!

You do NOT Love her.

Love is a mutual feeling. You lust after her or you love the fantasy that you could be with her. If you REALLY loved her, you would respect the fact that she has feelings for someone else. Come to think of it, that's not even love, that's common decency.

Grow up little boy.

I Love her for 2 years but she doesnt even know my name?

you cant force people to love you! Love isnt a game where you can kick the other players off the field. How about you make the brave move of talking to her. Then iam sure she will know your name and you might just have a chance

I Love her for 2 years but she doesnt even know my name?

you should!! go fro it.... if u really like her you've got nothing to lose right... why not? but i know how u feel.. and im surprised i've never heard a story like this from a guy... its soo sweet. %26lt;3

I Love her for 2 years but she doesnt even know my name?

Try to be her friend! I know it isn't as great as being in a relationship with her, however if you start as friends it takes ALL the anxiety and expectations away. Then, if she and the other guy hook up you can still hang out with her. Eventually they will break up and then you will still be her friend! As a friend you will always get to hang out with her, but when you get in a relationship you risk all that. Once you feel you are ready to take the next step, then you ask her on a date! It'll work out.

I Love her for 2 years but she doesnt even know my name?

You waited to long, pal. Anyway, how on earth can someone say they love someone they never even talked to, much less dated and got to know, you are so confused.

I Love her for 2 years but she doesnt even know my name?

you might just be in love with the idea of who she is. if she doesn't know your name, you probably don't know her too well. instead of living in a dream, i would just go up and talk to her. having moxie is very attractive! ask her out and get to know each other. what's meant to be will find way! you never know- she may have a crush on you and just think you're out of her league!

I Love her for 2 years but she doesnt even know my name?

Well it sounds like you really like her a lot, but true love is making her happy at all costs, even if it means having the other guy. if you stick to making her happy your luck may change but dont try to get her to hate this other guy because you will probably hurt her in the process and that is selfish and cruel, that doesn't show love at all.

HOPE THIS HELPS!!! : )

I Love her for 2 years but she doesnt even know my name?

It sounds to me as though you are obviously more concerned with yourself and your own jealousy than you are of her. Ask yourself which one of you would be best for her interest. Is this more than jealously and being afraid of loosing the girl or are you intimidated by a possible better suit.

I Love her for 2 years but she doesnt even know my name?

You shoulda made your move 2 years ago buddy. I think you lost this one. Have you even talked to her? "how do i make her hate him and love me????' . . .sound like a punk. H8 to be blunt but look, either you find a way to talk to her and make her laugh or just give an overall good impression now, or forget about it. 24 months you waited for this wtf? Are you emo?

I Love her for 2 years but she doesnt even know my name?

I think someone else stole your thunder. What were you waiting for??????

Instead of making her hate him, why not work on getting closer to her. Work on making her fall in love with you. What you eventually want is to get her to see you as a (very attractive, understanding, devoted) friend. Then work to make the other guy jealous with "innocent" comments about how pretty/intelligent/funny/cute/etc she is (the other guy has to hear it of course). Also, ask her to meet you for a study session or for coffee. If he starts acting possessive of her, she will probably stop liking him, and at the right moment you can make your move.

A note on the side: why do you describe the other guy as "adorable"? It sounds weird when a guy says that about another guy.

Good luck!

It seems like everyone, i mean, everyone has bangs?

ive never had bangs particularly because i have a small %26amp; low forehead and a relatively small face with pretty high cheekbones and i dont think bangs would suit me. but i dont know what to do when i tie my hair because it looks so plain compared to those with bangs who tie their hair.

how do i style my hair without getting bangs? (both up-do's %26amp; down-do's)

%26amp; im asian so i have very straight hair -____-

It seems like everyone, i mean, everyone has bangs?

I agree I agree everyone has layered hair with side bangs or curly hair with straight side bangs, it's so annoying. Try dying your hair os some highlights.

It seems like everyone, i mean, everyone has bangs?

what are bangs?

It seems like everyone, i mean, everyone has bangs?

hmm. try getting layers

It seems like everyone, i mean, everyone has bangs?

try headbands

flowers

braids

It seems like everyone, i mean, everyone has bangs?

Maybe side bangs would work. push them over to the side. Go for it. They'll always grow back.

It seems like everyone, i mean, everyone has bangs?

does that girl seriously not know what bangs are? Is she living under a rock?

Anyway, Asian people tend to look good with bangs cut straight across, maybe even a little uneven messy look?

Or if your hair will do it, side bangs look nice on just about everyone.

It seems like everyone, i mean, everyone has bangs?

do you live in a hole??!!

okay i'm sorry for that. that was mean. bangs are where the hair is cut shorter in front of your forehead.

get layers that are shorter in the front. that way you do have some hair that is out of your ponytail and things, but you don't look like everyone else.

everyone in my town has side bangs and no one has normal bangs. its different.

It seems like everyone, i mean, everyone has bangs?

you can do the cute pompadour thing with the front section of your hair!

It seems like everyone, i mean, everyone has bangs?

Everyone has bangs because the 80s are trying to come back. It's driving me crazy!

Some things you could do to get cute looks without bangs:

You could let two long strands hang down the sides of your face with your hair pulled back (add a ribbon tied in a bow for a cute affect - my sister does it. She's 19 and it looks adorable... it's that hot high school girl look)

You could braid four sections of your hair going back into a ponytail or do the braids then tie them off with those small black rubber bands and leave the rest of your hair down.

Or you could pull all of your hair into a ponytail and then pull the tie out just a little, stick your finger through to make a hole, then grab your ponytail and pull it through the hole from underneath to the top. Tease it to make it spikey on the top or use a curling iron to make it looks elegant.

Who needs bangs?!

It seems like everyone, i mean, everyone has bangs?

I agree with Katie. I love straight across messyish bangs on Asians. I think they look gorgeous.

You could also try doing a little poof in the front. Just gather the front of your hair and pull it back, twist it a bit, hairspray it, and use a couple bobby pins to secure it. Poofs can look extremely elegant for you updos as well.

It seems like everyone, i mean, everyone has bangs?

Girl, I swore off bangs for Lent like 7 years ago. Don't give in, bangless wonder! If you part your hair down the side or do a zig-zag part, or even get a different hair cut. Layers really give your hair body, too.

It seems like everyone, i mean, everyone has bangs?

hmm... bangs are very "in" now arent they. but remember, like any fad they come and go and will soon be gone. you can go in and get layers, they way you discribed yourself, just get them at the bottem of your hair and framing your face, so it doesnt weigh down your already small face. also get a cut thats about 2 inches below your shoulders or shorter cut for the same reason. for an updo, go and pull up half of your hair and since its layered and shorter , the pony part will be spiky and cute. you can then pull down a piece of hair in the front to accent your facial features. it'll look nice,

It seems like everyone, i mean, everyone has bangs?

There is this thing called ivillage.com and you become a member and you can upload a photo and try on different hairstyles on the computer. It helped me alot.

It seems like everyone, i mean, everyone has bangs?

I have long straight hair and I dont have bangs either, I pull my hair up in a bun and use decorative hair sticks (like chop sticks) Do not put it too high on top of your head, this looks like pebbles from the flinstones, leave it a little bit loose so you can pull a couple of strands down by your face. This looks natural and flattering. If your hair is all one length just wash , condition and blow dry to mak it perfectly straight. Looks less like a mess. Leave it down, men like this. I don't know why but that is what I've heard all my life from guys. I also pull back half of the hair and braid down the back. I don't do ponytails though. They look too immature, and thats just lazy. take the time and play around with it. Your friends should let you know if it looks good or not. If you are still not shure, go to a professional salon and get their help.

It seems like everyone, i mean, everyone has bangs?

Maybe having chin-length pieces around your face could help? I have a friend who is asian and has chemically straightened hair and her "bangs" are past her chin, but they hang down when she pulls her hair up.

Or, if you don't want a haircut, you could do that pouf thing where people tie their bangs back but make it stick up really high. You could just use your normal pieces of hair and tie the ends back with bobby pins. http://interioroffice.files.wordpress.co... that's a bad pic, but the only one i could find.

also maybe you could loosely braiding or twisting your hair on the sides. this looks really cute and sophisticated, and better if you don't have bangs. Just take some small pieces of hair from around your temple area, either twist or braid along the side of your head pin it place with a bobby pin, then do the same on the other side, then gather all of your hair, including the ends of the two twisted/braided sides, and pull it back into a ponytail or bun with a hair tie.

Lastly, use a head band! They look so cute, and they're so easy to use.

Male seeking new hairstyle????

alright, so im 15 (asian) i have straight slightly wavy hair, my hair right now is almost medium length and i wanted to grow it out. how can i make it more straight and smooth and what other things can i do to make it look better without it looking like i spent 3 hours on it???? plz give good suggestions on hair products or how to style my hair..... thanks to all!!!

Male seeking new hairstyle????

there's alot of good product out there that can help keep your hair frizz-free and stylish with out looking (or smelling) like a girl. I suggest Redkin, which has a men's line. There are others as well. If your hair is thick, try a heavier product like a texturizing paste, or even an anti-frizz cream. Put them in wet, and then let your hair air dry.

If you have the time, using a flat iron for "problem sections" of dry hair is also a good idea, but be sure to use a heat-activated protective product first so you don't burn your hair.

And I say, let it grow. Most asian guys look great with longer hair!

Male seeking new hairstyle????

idk look at the avatars hairstyles.....

Male seeking new hairstyle????

what kind of question is that, go to a hairstyling place and u can try a bunch out.

Male seeking new hairstyle????

texture putty it and get alot of layers, a striaghtener might be required depending on the amount of wave, and then make it messy spikey.

****long or short hairstyles****?

well im getting my hair done tomorrow.

im asian and i have long, black hair like almost to my waist and its wavy/curley and pretty thick but im usually straightening my hair with the sedu straightner. i would like to cut my hair about alittle lower than my shoulders like maybe a couple of inches and i would like to also get side bangs pretty much like you see "asians girls" wear it.

i would also like to get layers but i dont know if i should get long or short layers and also is there a difference in them?

****long or short hairstyles****?

Everything sounds good! Sometimes its nice to get a change. The only thing is that if you want tlayers, make sure they are long layers. This is because layers can make thick hair (like you said you have,) look poofy. Long layers means that the layers aren't too drastic. Short layers would mean that the layers are cut way above the rest of the hair.

****long or short hairstyles****?

talk to your hair cutter. it's their job to know what looks good and what is good for your hair!

****long or short hairstyles****?

i like chicks w/ long hair...

****long or short hairstyles****?

Don't cut it! Long hair is beautiful!

****long or short hairstyles****?

i have been a hair dresser for 15 years and may i suggest if you want layers to get long layers it won't be as noticable on your straight hair and will not look like a step in the back of your head. and a side bang is great like a swooping one not a straignt one

****long or short hairstyles****?

you should get long layers. they complement every face type. and side bangs are cute.

****long or short hairstyles****?

yes there is cuz long layers lives your hairlonger and shoter layers lives your hair shortter i have my hair in short layers and they look pretty nice but it's your decision what ever you like don't try to look go for others but only for you

I didn't get mine until I was 16, but I was very slender and athletic. You sound like you're of normal weight, so I would say sometime within the next year.

I`m 13 i don't have my period yet. When do you think i`ll get it? Read all my details please.?

Don't worry, you usually don't get your period till a year after your breasts begin to grow. If not, you should begin to worry if you don't get your period by age 18.

I`m 13 i don't have my period yet. When do you think i`ll get it? Read all my details please.?

When u will starthaving them , u will wish why they didn't wait another couple of years! It may be a matter of a year, but if you think too much about them , they will come sooner.

I'm almost 13. I got my period in November for the first time. I'm 5'5 and weigh very similar to you, but there really is no way knowing when you will get it. By what you are describing, it sounds like you're gonna get iit soon though.

I`m 13 i don't have my period yet. When do you think i`ll get it? Read all my details please.?

i know a girl who got her period when she was 17.. so its normal dont worry. just try eating healthy foods and lots of dairy, water, whole wheats and fruits and vegetables ofcoarse!

and consider yourself LUCKY!! lol getting a period is such a pain...

I`m 13 i don't have my period yet. When do you think i`ll get it? Read all my details please.?

you don't know...i don't know...nobody knows....but i'm pretty sure you'll get your period within the next year or so.

trust me...even though you will get your period soon there's no reason to rush it...you'll have it every 30 days or less for the next 30+ years!

I`m 13 i don't have my period yet. When do you think i`ll get it? Read all my details please.?

OK well 36 is not the size of you breasts, A is, and an A cup for your age is good, next, with the details you have enclosed in your question you should be getting ready for you first period any day now. Your body has shown it self to be physically ready and you should be ready for it. good luck

I`m 13 i don't have my period yet. When do you think i`ll get it? Read all my details please.?

u cant make it come it all depends on genetics. if ur mom was late coming on than there is a chance ur going 2 b the same way.

I`m 13 i don't have my period yet. When do you think i`ll get it? Read all my details please.?

There is no way to predict it. It is different for every person, and is still a bit different between mothers and daughters, etc. It will happen when the time is right, but until then, don't rush it. Once you have it, there will be days when you wish you didn't (as I do, lol). I have horrible cramps along with my period, but my mother had no such thing, just a little headache. So just prepare yourself mentally as much as possible, and start figuring things out like whether you want to use pads or tampons, and things of that sort. When it finally does happen, you should be a lot more at ease.

I`m 13 i don't have my period yet. When do you think i`ll get it? Read all my details please.?

i agree with EVERYONE. don`t rush %26amp;%26amp; yeah. Lol, i got your answer yes we have the same name. Just returning the answer =P

Buzz cut with my head shape?

yo so i am a baller and the basketball season is about to start so i might get a buzz cut. however, my forehead seemingly "pushes back" and for ballers i want a kobe bryant-ish hair cut (i know im asian, but im a die hard baller) but i think it might look weird. Also i have big ears and i have a long face i noticed that most people with buzz cuts have kinda round faces

Buzz cut with my head shape?

shaving your head will make it look rounder and bigger. this is true for every body.

Buzz cut with my head shape?

Be bold. Go for it and get that buzz cut! You could pull it off. So what, you have biggerish ears and a long face but work it out!

Buzz cut with my head shape?

maybe you should let it be a little longer than a buzz cute

School Dance?!?!?!?

What should i wear to the school dance? Its the last dance that we'll have as an eighth grade and i really wanna wear something nice. It's semi-formal. I don't like wearing skirts because of all the horrible scars from my childhood on my knees and ankles. I don't know what to wear and how to do my makeup.

Very short asian girl with medium-long hair and a slightly chubby oval face with small-ish almond eyes. No curves yet. Help! :(

School Dance?!?!?!?

wear stocking if u have scars, noone will notice, wear a long dress that goes above ur knees, dont wear jeans,, u'll be the only one and not look dressed up enough. go to forever 21.

http://www.forever21.com/category.asp?ca...

School Dance?!?!?!?

ok then..... well you could wear ... nice jeans, or 3 quarter jeans, with a nice long top and belt ... i was going to say if you live in newcastle then u could go to primar, but guessing by the eighth grade, your from america!!... so you'll probably know where to go for that kind of thing

hope i've helped you x

School Dance?!?!?!?

you should check with your friends and see what they are wearing...but for our semi-formal most people just came in like nice dresses like something that you would wear to a nice dinner or something along that line...good luck and just have fun with it...

School Dance?!?!?!?

just wear a cute dress that is long

I was watching a BET special or something one day and it was a really pretty asian model.Anny body k

I want to know her name. She had blonde hair and was very sassy. She sounded kinda funny.

I was watching a BET special or something one day and it was a really pretty asian model.Anny body know her.?

That is phoney Asian - she is the one that makes true Asians cringe

What race is he?

my friend and i were at the gym when she spotted this guy that she thought was good-looking

n people mite think this is stupid..but she was trying to guess what race he was..n we couldnt figure it out..

well hes asian 4 sure but we dono what country

hes tall

dark-ish skin

black hair

"asian like eyes"

"misterious looking"

i guess u could say shy

any ideas?

What race is he?

Filipino would be by best guess. But my sons are half Japanese, and their dad was born in Hawaii. My oldest is dark skinned with asian shaped eyes, but they are not as slanted as his dads. Next time just ask. Most people don't mind. I don't mind when people ask about my boys. And no, not all asians are short. That is a STEREOTYPE! Ever heard of Yao Ming?

What race is he?

Filipino or Vietnamese. I'm just guessing.

What race is he?

could be Cambodian there kinda a darker type Asian

What race is he?

Aren't most Asians short?

What race is he?

you need to put up a pic. a description like that isn't going to get you anywhere.

...he would be SE Asian. Thai, Laotian, Cambodian, maybe Viet (though they tend to be shorter).

What race is he?

A picture would help!!

Does this look too metrosexual for an asian?

http://www.veraanderson.com/2003/BradPit...

I have black hair so the color's are not the same. Brown highlights maybe.

Does this look too metrosexual for an asian?

No, it would probably look cool on you.

Does this look too metrosexual for an asian?

Enough already....

Does this look too metrosexual for an asian?

Well Asians have the best hair, even guys, so Id leave your color as is. You should style your hair like that though, and I dont think it would look metrosexual at all.

Does this look too metrosexual for an asian?

no, so many asians do that.

Does this look too metrosexual for an asian?

Its only metro when white guys do that, cuz thats the asian norm (alot of asian guys i see have that same hair style)

Can anyone please make me an outfit (I don't care if it's polyvore or not)?

I'm 13 years old (8th grade), and 5". I'm Asian with black hair, black eyes, and slightly tanned skin. My favorite stores are Abercrombie, American Eagle, and PacSun. Can Asian people be blonde?

This excludes dying their hair. I mean naturally blonde. I have been wondering about this just because it seems odd that most asians have black or brown hair naturally.

Can Asian people be blonde?

An albino Asian could be blond. Well actually their hair would be white, but close enough.

Can Asian people be blonde?

i've met hmong people who can rarely be naturally blond...

http://www.laofamily.org/cultu... Report It

Can Asian people be blonde?

Have you been losing sleep because of this? LOL WATSON WHATTTTTTTT?

Can Asian people be blonde?

With a little hair coloring, anything is possible.

Can Asian people be blonde?

Short and simple answer:

Yes, they can.

Can Asian people be blonde?

Umm no..who cares anyway

Can Asian people be blonde?

Uhhh... no. hahah cute question though. Yes we do have dark features all of the time, well naturally of course.

Can Asian people be blonde?

I don't think so. The fair hair gene is generally recessive, and most Asians naturally have dark hair which is the dominant gene. So if a dark-haired Asian have a child with a fair-haired Caucasian, the dominant gene will still take over and the child will have dark hair. It probably won't be bright yellow blonde, but maybe light brown/brown, like an even-out effect.

Can Asian people be blonde?

I banged this one asian chick that I thought had no pubes but it turned out they were very fine and blonde... and yes it still smells like fish down there... not stir fry or dog or cat...

Can Asian people be blonde?

Dark hair is the color for that gene pool, if we are talking about pure bred Asians.

Can Asian people be blonde?

I don't think so, as long as they don't have any foreign genes in their make up. (It's the same reason that African American people all have black hair, you don't usually see any blonde ones unless they have dyed their hair or are using a wig or have some other genetic material running through their veins).

Can Asian people be blonde?

I would say yes...I have seen african american albino kids with blode hair. I would think that asians could have albinoism...

Can Asian people be blonde?

by default, asians have dark coloured haird unlike europeans ... cant do much about it i guess ...

Can Asian people be blonde?

I seem to recall a PBS program with some personality visiting a nomadic group in Mongolia and there was a woman native to the group that was blonde. I think the program was about tracing DNA sources

Can Asian people be blonde?

yes they can!! blonde-hair gene is recessive but there still a low percent chance that blonde hair would come out...this is of course, on the case og half-asian, half-caucasian ppl..

and...

asian who are albinos. YES,ASIANS CAN HAVE ALBINISM... i saw many of them... i even saw a couple with all their children afflicted with it..they all got the blond hair and eyelashes and brows.. they look like their parents, except they have light skin and hair.

Can Asian people be blonde?

If you have seen a naturally blonde Asian woman(100% Asian), you let us know.

Possible, yes, probable...no.

Can Asian people be blonde?

It doesn't matter if u are Asian or American or anything else u can have any hair color but u have to be born with it!!

Can Asian people be blonde?

no never

Best haircut for me?

i have a diamond face shape n large nose, but big n clear eyes that everybody loves.. i'm an asian n hv dark brown hair with black eyes..what haircut n color suited with me?thx b4..

Best haircut for me?

Your hairstyle should try to soften the sharp angle of your jaw line and minimize a squared-off forehead look. Hairstyles that emphasize the cheekbones are most flattering, so short layers (cut into longer hair) that swing forward onto cheekbones will look great. here you may find an article on choosing hair style after your face shape: http://www.jurgita.com/articles-id131.ht...

Are Perms a good idea ?

I have typical Asian girl hair %26amp; It's like soo boring straight lols, I was wondering are perms a good idea ? How long do they last ? Are they easy to straighten ? My hair is really thick so I doubt it will fall out : )

Thank you for any answers. MUAHS*

Are Perms a good idea ?

Just stick your finger in light socket. (cksq)

Are Perms a good idea ?

no

Are Perms a good idea ?

no, perms went out with parachute pants in the '80s!!

Are Perms a good idea ?

it'll drop faster then you realise. i honestly as a hairdresser am against perms on anyone below the age of 60. i understand the frustration of having straight hair... but play around with colour.. that is one area where you can have fun and look different. straight hair looks beautiful with the right hair cut and right colour combinations and styles. try something different.

if you decide to get a perm though, it'll last a few weeks if youre lucky, and it will damage the condition of your hair.... you can straighten it easily, but if it's not going to last all that long, i wouldnt straighten it... enjoy it whilst it's curly.

Are Perms a good idea ?

Perms are permanent and stay in your hair until it grows out or you cut it off. You can straighten it with an iron, but why perm your hair if you want to straighten it? Straight hair is in right now, keep it that way until the styles change.

Are Perms a good idea ?

they are if you want it stay like that for along time. I got mine done and it is still like that

Are Perms a good idea ?

no, they dry out your hair

Are Perms a good idea ?

No!!! Perms are horrible!

Are Perms a good idea ?

Not really. The chemicals dry out your hair really badly. I would recommend highlights instead. (Not that it doesn't dry out your hair too, but it's not as bad)

Are Perms a good idea ?

no, I have 'typical asian girl' hair too, except its curly and wavy in places.

If you have staright hair, then maybe curl it with that one shampoo. Or get a unique haircut.

I play around wiht my hair all the time. I never let anybody else cut it. I 'll color it or streak it myslef as well. And I always love the way it looks.

Are Perms a good idea ?

Strategies for permed or straightened hair

A: It's good question, since perming and straightening can cause significant damage to hair. Follow these easy practices after your hair is processed to ensure it stays healthy.

é–³?Hold off on styling or shampooing for a week after processing.

é–³?Use a mild shampoo and the strongest conditioner you can without making your hair go limp.

é–³?Wash your hair only as often as is absolutely necessary.

é–³?Do a deep-conditioning treatment once a week, if possible.

é–³?Minimise further damage by combing hair gently (especially when wet) and keeping heat-styling tools on low.

é–³?A drop of silicone serum can help smooth down the hair cuticle and add a bit of shine. Only use small quantities to prevent build-up.

Are Perms a good idea ?

read more on haircare and styles that will help you on this site

Are Perms a good idea ?

i would not recommand it .. your hair will never be the same..

use a curling iron or rollers to style it when you feel like having curly hair..

you can do alot with straight hair more then when you have curly hair..

there are alot of styles ..for eg.. french braids. jamacan braids. pony tails. up do's .. puting it up in a bun..

you can buy many tie ups that are nice and elastics.. and even.. add some differnt colored hair add ons so its not permanent..

dont put a perm in your hair..

put your hair up in a bun .. buy the fake hair with curls clip it to your hair .. wala.. you got curly hair.. be creative..

have fun ..

Are Perms a good idea ?

I wish I had the asian hair. I have always found that kind of hair very very pretty. It is thick and has body to it. I want that kind of hair but with my blonde.

I have had 3 perms in my life. 2 when I was around 12 it changed the color of my hair. My hair was a platinum color when I got my first perm then it kind of went to a dirty blonde within the perming time. My mom cried. But I did like it. It gave me more body to my hair. I liked the color to because I don't have to dye my hair and I have the dirty blonde look with natural platinum highlights.

I am 25 now and I just got me another perm it has been about 14 yrs since I have had one and I like it. The only thing is the perm does dry it out a lot and you will have to condidtion it a lot more than you are probably use to. A brush is a no no. You will have to learn how to do your hair all over again. My hair is so straight that my perm will kind of fall out and it will just be wavy(which is what I want body not a curly curly perm). In normal circumstances with a perm straightining it after the perm will make it frizzy. this is because it is so dry from the perm. You will probably have to let this grow out untill it is straight again.

The reason I chose to get a perm is because my hair will not curl with a curling iron or rollers, it don't even give it body, I have tried everything, the hairstylist can't even get it to hold a curl for more than 15 min with rollers and so on. This perm is going to fall in a matter of days I just wanted some body.

What's the reason made neonazi, kkk, and those stuff think that themselve were aryan?

whather I ever met pure arab little child with pure white blond hair, blue eyes and even far east asian people in japan, mongolia and china having naturally blue eyes or green eyes too. so I don't know enough why those normadic race stuff demanded themselve to ve aryan?

What's the reason made neonazi, kkk, and those stuff think that themselve were aryan?

Nazi's and KKK are evil morons. Their views have no logic to them and the sooner they die off the better.

What's the reason made neonazi, kkk, and those stuff think that themselve were aryan?

Did you know that most of these people in kkk etc have blood group B

What's the reason made neonazi, kkk, and those stuff think that themselve were aryan?

Aryan is an old "race" of people. It's just historically Aryans settled in areas which around Germany and Austria, and since Nazism derived from there, they figure they are Aryan since they are neo-Nazis, even though they may not have Aryan blood.

Have you ever seen a hairy east asian man? not a hybrid.?

i'm not talking about a mixed east asian, because that accounts to their extra unnatural amount of hair.

so have you seen any east asians with a lot of facial hair. like a full beard? how did he do it?

Have you ever seen a hairy east asian man? not a hybrid.?

Yeah, there are quite a few of them, although a bit more rare than in the west.

Have you ever seen a hairy east asian man? not a hybrid.?

yea.

Have you ever seen a hairy east asian man? not a hybrid.?

india is part of east asia. i've seen some hairy indian men. chinese, japanese, vietnamese, korean.. not so much

Have you ever seen a hairy east asian man? not a hybrid.?

whats ur point? making another stereotype on asian man? u must be the tipical perverted euroamerican asiaphile that looks asian guys as a threat since u want asian girls.....

Not sure what hairstyle to go with (getting haircut soon, suggestions???)?

I'm 13, and I'm getting a haircut soon, but I haven't decided on what hairstyle I'm getting (layers, side bangs, etc...) I'm Asian and my hair is dark brown and straight and 1-2 inches below my shoulder. I want to get layers (not spaced out layers) but all of the pictures I've seen of Asians with straight hair and layers don't look very good. Layers seem to look better with wavy hair, but I don't have much time to wave/curl my hair in the mornings.

I really like Emma Watson's hair. Do you think I would look good in her haircut???

Any suggestions on hairstyles I should go with???

Help please!

Not sure what hairstyle to go with (getting haircut soon, suggestions???)?

Hey, I'm Asian as well and not sure if you face the same problem I do- I have a hard time finding a good stylist who understands Asian hair growth and texture and knows how to cut it. It took me a while to find someone- even some Asians weren't doing a good job! I've paid quite a bit trying all kinds of upscale salons until I've found the right lady who now cuts my hair. Anyway, as for your question, the "in" looks are natural , one step colors, anything with movement, so think long layers and not short jagged layers. I find that bangs may seem typical for Asian girls, but it's actually very flattering. I'd ask for full bangs that you can wear in the front and also sweep to the side. Since your hair length is past your shoulders, you could take a curling iron and curl up the layers in your hair to give it some movement. Think...glamour and romantic styles. Here are some photos of Asian haircuts that may or may not suit you, depending on your face shape and facial features:

BTW, Emma Watson's hair great, if you mean this style:

http://imstars.aufeminin.com/stars/fan/D...

You should get something with lots of movement like that haircut with bangs, that would be cute.

Not sure what hairstyle to go with (getting haircut soon, suggestions???)?

i think that layers look great on Asians. A couple of girls at my school have them and they look terrific. You should get a shortish cut with layers and maybe sidebangs. Hope I helped!

Not sure what hairstyle to go with (getting haircut soon, suggestions???)?

definitely do the bangs, and layers too. my hair is so straight and i have layers and it looks fine (at least in my opinion haha)

Not sure what hairstyle to go with (getting haircut soon, suggestions???)?

try one of these

http://dwave.files.wordpress.com/2006/09...

Not sure what hairstyle to go with (getting haircut soon, suggestions???)?

This would work for you: http://www.matrix.com/find_your_hair_sty...

Related link: http://beauty.about.com/od/hairbasics/a/...

Emma Watson's hair is wavy but her cut will work for straight hair that has lots of body.

Not sure what hairstyle to go with (getting haircut soon, suggestions???)?

go for a layered shoulder length style, maybe with a whispy fringe - then you have the choice of letting it do its own curly thing, tying it up in a ponytail or blowing it straight and fluffy .... lots you can do with that

Not sure what hairstyle to go with (getting haircut soon, suggestions???)?

side bangs are super cute, you can where them how ever you want like just to the side up or whatever. i have side bangs and black hair. and my hair is about your length. I think you should get a perm because then you will have the waves you want for about a year and you can get layers. plus I'm asian and i have layers, trust me they don't look that bad at all!

Not sure what hairstyle to go with (getting haircut soon, suggestions???)?

I don't like emma watson's hair i think she's ugly. i don't even like her seriously shes so stupid don't do what emma did.

Not sure what hairstyle to go with (getting haircut soon, suggestions???)?

Well there's this site called

http://www.thehairstyler.com/

Is is hard to make friends at Boston?

I am from VA. I find it hard to read people in Boston. But then again, I spend most of my time in the laboratory at a very good University. Can other tell me their experience with people at Boston? They seem to be less nice. At retail stores the Sales Associate don't walk up to you and greet you. Feels like when you go talk to people they acted like they are doing you a favor by talking with you. What is the best way to make friends there? In general I feel very self-conscious there. Where I am from I get the feeling that I am very well-liked (and attractive) even when I walk on the street. Boston girls seemed more competitive and catty. At Va I can go to a Salon and strike up a conversation. At Boston, the hair dresser got passive aggressive w/ me. I consider myself an attractive Asian with curly hair and good built. I find white girls at Va have no problem being my friend..and I fit into the frat scene easily. But I sense white girls at Boston are threatened by me.

Is is hard to make friends at Boston?

I'm from Boston and I think Bostonians are frozen, just like most New Englanders - especially compared to Southerners and Westerners. They are also less casual, more hurried, stand more on formalities, and are much less flirtatious. It took me about 30 years to adjust.

Go to a Unitarian Universalist church. People there are very friendly and supportive, and you can be an atheist and still feel right at home.

Musicians are also different. Start hanging out with musicians and artists. Pagans are very friendly and cuddly too. Good luck!

Is is hard to make friends at Boston?

no harder than making friends in VA!! As you have found, people in the north are not as openly friendly to strangers. But they also don't tend to smile sweetly, say "y'all come back, ya hear" and talk about you the minute you leave. Don't get me wrong...I love the south. I've chosen to live here for many years BUT I appreciate the frank

honesty northerners will give you.

Thought you moved to ATL???

How do I get perfect and flawless skin like many Asian folks do? :)?

What is it in their diet that makes their hair and skin so... perfect?

How do I get perfect and flawless skin like many Asian folks do? :)?

asian don't really use a lot of face cleaning product...etc... they do it the natural way.

1.drink lots of water

2. eat fruits %26amp; vegetables everyday. tomatoes are very good for your skin.

3. avoid eating a lot of sweet. lots of sugar consumption is on of the reason of pimples.

you have to be patient for this to work. it's not something that work in days. doing the 3 things above with 30 mins of exercise evevery is a very healthy lifestyle.

How do I get perfect and flawless skin like many Asian folks do? :)?

its called eating healthy, anyone can acquire a healthy look

How do I get perfect and flawless skin like many Asian folks do? :)?

Lol...we have a strict diet of rice and veggies and seafood we eat plenty of those.

How do I get perfect and flawless skin like many Asian folks do? :)?

most is genetic. however, try a sugar scrub (sugar and water made into a paste) at night to exfoliate. and moisturize like crazy! always use sunscreen!!

How do I get perfect and flawless skin like many Asian folks do? :)?

It has not so much to do with diet as it does genetics; you inheret certain traits from your parents, so if they had clear skin, chances are you will too. Diet may have a bit to do with it, because a typical "Asian" diet consists of raw foods like sushi, and they don't eat nearly as much fried foods or fast food as Americans do.

Try going to a facialist for an appointment and a consultation. They will be able to clean up your face and tell you how to best take care of your skin to achieve and keep clear skin. Also, drinking a lot of water will help.

How do I get perfect and flawless skin like many Asian folks do? :)?

Eat lots of veggies and fruits. And drink and nice glass of water before you go to sleep. Also, I tend to use a face wash in the shower, cuz the steam just somehow makes my face a how lot cleaner and clear. Also at night, use a deep pore clensing scrub, works wonders. And I'm asian!

The first link is to the "just like you" order page for dolls made by American Girl...the second link is to the opening page for the American Girl website. I think that it is probably as close as you can get to finding a doll that is most like you and your daughters. I am sure they are not the only makers of one of a kind dolls, but it is the only one that I know of.

Best of luck!!!

Eye color?

okay, so i have brown eyes, and i'm sick of them. i want to get colored contacts, but i dont know what color i should get. and also, do u think color contacts look fake? what colors look most natural and what brand? tell me what'll look best based on my description of myself: i have long, layered, and side-banged chocolate brown hair, big, almond shaped (not asian) mediterranean honey colored eyes, and i'm whitish tan (mediterranean like). i think that's a good description, so tell me what you think :D

Eye color?

your brown eyes sound pretty enough but i know what its like to want to mix things up a little bit. some colored contacts can look really fake so try a light green. they would blend well with the brown underneath. plus green eyes just look gorgeous! lol

Eye color?

i think that you shouldnt change your eye color... if you are then a lighter brownnn.

Eye color?

maybe a pale green or blue. I love people that are unique cuz they have unusal colours of hair and eyes. Got to a eye/ glasses place

Eye color?

you can always tell when someone is wearing colored contacts, unless they're SUPER expensive.

besides, your eyes sound pretty! i wouldn't change them!

Eye color?

a different shade of brown, deep pink, of green. or even don't change the color. it sounds pretty the way u described it

Eye color?

Light green that would be very pretty and look good with your skin

Eye color?

dont they hurt and i think they ook fake i dont like them and i like brown eyes

Eye color?

DARK BLUEE

Eye color?

maybe like a plain blue.... because green will give away the color of your hair[[doesnt match]].... so you should get blue

Eye color?

green or blue

My hair is blackish brown.Skin is like asian(tan).Which color of lens should i use?

um,you're natural eye color. i don't see what the deal is with people wanting to be a different person/race.

My hair is blackish brown.Skin is like asian(tan).Which color of lens should i use?

hazel

My hair is blackish brown.Skin is like asian(tan).Which color of lens should i use?

Possibly black

My hair is blackish brown.Skin is like asian(tan).Which color of lens should i use?

burnt orange

My hair is blackish brown.Skin is like asian(tan).Which color of lens should i use?

sapphire blue

My hair is blackish brown.Skin is like asian(tan).Which color of lens should i use?

Assuming you aren't happy with your natural color or just looking to change it for fun, I'd go with a brown tint. Blues and greens may make you look demonic. haha. You could TRY a blue on, but although it will be dramatic, you will constantly get asked if that your natural eye color.

My hair is blackish brown.Skin is like asian(tan).Which color of lens should i use?

ice blue!

My hair is blackish brown.Skin is like asian(tan).Which color of lens should i use?

i know this might sound weird but blue will look so gorgeous or a dark brown

your lucky as any type of lens would look great due to your skin tone and hair colour xx

My hair is blackish brown.Skin is like asian(tan).Which color of lens should i use?

something in the green to blue family, though purple would look awesome, and personally brown isn't appreciated as much as it should be.

My hair is blackish brown.Skin is like asian(tan).Which color of lens should i use?

blue to be striking plus hazel is sooo natural and like people will definately not notice.......

and an example....just look at vanessa williams.....she have blue eyes and it looks sooo exotic!!!

My hair is blackish brown.Skin is like asian(tan).Which color of lens should i use?

ummmm.... asian brown... unless ur trying to be not asian....

just dont try blue... i had a friend whos asian with blue and she look like an albino viet

My hair is blackish brown.Skin is like asian(tan).Which color of lens should i use?

Green would compliment the color of your skin. Blue would pop out and say hello.

My hair is blackish brown.Skin is like asian(tan).Which color of lens should i use?

Unless the lenses will be used for vision purposes, try sticking with your natural color (which is most likely brown). Any blues/greens wouldn't compliment your skin tone like you think. Learn to love your natural color, it's a lot more beautiful than you think.

My hair is blackish brown.Skin is like asian(tan).Which color of lens should i use?

GREEN!

all the way.

:]

My hair is blackish brown.Skin is like asian(tan).Which color of lens should i use?

may red with black

my friend has yourdecription and she looks real gud in her

black nd red glasses

I want to wax my moustache...?

I'm 12.

I have a really noticable moustache, and its dark because I'm asian and I have black hair.

Should I wax? I don't want to bleach.

But wouldn't kids notice if I come back to school with no moustache?

What should I do?

I want to wax my moustache...?

wait, so u don't want the kids at your school to notice your mustache is gone?

I want to wax my moustache...?

Sure. I'm sure it's fine :)

I want to wax my moustache...?

Wax it

I want to wax my moustache...?

Ok, waxing hurts like a mofo.

I have a little peachy fuzziness as well. I use this stuff I got out of Avon, it just dissolves the hairs, and they are gone for a month. It really works.

I think Nair carries the same thing.

Check it out, ask your mom.

But don't use the leg wax, it can rip your skin off of your lip.

Good luck.

:]

I want to wax my moustache...?

wax would b more effective. who cares what others think in the end its what you think of yourself.

I want to wax my moustache...?

wax it

I want to wax my moustache...?

yeah wax it!

and if they notice, thats good!

they'll/you'll be like "ITS GONE!"

even though it stings i think its the best option ;)

I want to wax my moustache...?

i bet your moustache looks good on you. but if you think you should wax it, wax it.

I want to wax my moustache...?

I get mine waxed but i do go to a salon to get it done only cost like 5 to 7 bucks but let a professional do it dotn do the do it yourself home kits. You can try those lotions that remove hair but theres a chance if you have senstive skin you can get a chemical burn and then your upper lip area will be red and irritated and will look worse thanhaving hair there. So check out a place ask your mom im sure she wouldnt have a prob with it.

I want to wax my moustache...?

Waxing looks a lot like shaving. People at school aren't even going to tell if you waxed it, they will just supposed you shave it.

I want to wax my moustache...?

whatever you do, get rid of that moustache. the word moustache is not compatible with a woman. u should not even have that word in your vocabulary. there is nothing acceptable about a woman with a moustache. u have to get rid of it or else you will never, ever, in a million years get to kiss a boy.

I want to wax my moustache...?

just do it if you want to fell better and nicer

How short is "medium lenght hair"? How do i explain that to a hair dresser?

I'm 5'3, South Asian Collge boy in Toronto. How short is short when i say to hair dressers? How do i explain a hair dresser the ;lenght i want it to be.

How short is "medium lenght hair"? How do i explain that to a hair dresser?

To ensure you like your new cut, take in pictures of hair you like. Usually, hair dressers have up-to-date magazines and style books you can look through. Trying to "explain" a hair cut can be difficult and could lead to you not getting what you want.

Show them pictures!

How short is "medium lenght hair"? How do i explain that to a hair dresser?

tell her how many inches!

How short is "medium lenght hair"? How do i explain that to a hair dresser?

say:

chin length

ear level

two inches long etc

BE PRECISE!!!

How short is "medium lenght hair"? How do i explain that to a hair dresser?

like maybe to your neck right above your shoulders

How short is "medium lenght hair"? How do i explain that to a hair dresser?

Medium length is about at the top of the shoulders.

I'm thinking about getting my hairline surgically lowered, and I'd also like to undergo As

I'm only 16 %26amp; I'm just saving money because I wanna get it done when I'm 19 or 20. Before you make assumptions i'm not shallow or overly self-conscience. I think of my anticipated surgeries like getting braces, or putting collagen in your lips. It's just something I want to do for myself to make looking in the mirror more pleasent. Anyways, I consider myself to be good-looking overall, but I'd like a pointy "caucasian" nose I suppose instead of a flat, wide one, because it always looks wierd in pictures, %26amp; I don't think my nose fits my face. Also my forehead is huge. I got made fun of all throughout junior high because of it. It looks like an old man's receding hairline. Now I wear side-swept bangs all the time to cover up my forehead. As soon as I started wearing bangs, guys started to talk to me %26amp; everyone stopped making fun of me, but now I hate going swimming, and I refuse to wear my hair without my bangs, because I don't wanna look wierd again. Is surgery the wrong answer?

I'm thinking about getting my hairline surgically lowered, and I'd also like to undergo Asian rhinoplasty.

This might be long, but please bare with me.

My best friend and I are Asian. If you want to go into specifics, I'm Vietnamese and she's Chinese.

My best friend had a hard time accepting the way she looks. I can tell you that she is absolutely beautiful. The reason why she hates the way she looks, is because she didn't inherit the typical, delicate, features of an Asian woman. You know, big, soft eyes, peachy lips, black, straight hair, fair skin and a soft jaw line. She doesn't have any of these features and people do a double take whenever she says she's Chinese.

She used to tell me time and time again that I was so lucky because I do have the total package of an Asian woman. Don't get me wrong, I, like everybody else, have gone through many battles with my self-esteem.

Her self-esteem problem is slowly decreasing, and she has learned to accept what she's got. Her line is, "So what?" She is the only one I know who has a beautiful olive tone. Although she doesn't display the delicate features of a typical Asian woman, she displays these through her actions. She's smart, brave, funny, and ambitious.

I wouldn't say surgery is the wrong answer. I just believe you shouldn't "fix" yourself to satisfy someone else's image of beauty.

Surgery is a big thing.

It's NOT like getting your braces on. It's NOT like going in to get your tooth out. It's something that you will carry on with you for the rest of your life. If you do go through with it, it's a part of you.

I don't believe it's worth it. You give up thousands of dollars. But most of all, you give up a piece of yourself. Yes, you will get what you want, but to a great cost that doesn't come in the form of money.

Also, as you grow up (you do not stop growing when you're 19 or 20), things will change and you will have to visit the surgeon again. You will pay more money to fix it up, to give it a little more because it's failing.

How you changed your hairstyle, THAT'S how you beautify yourself, without having to undergo surgery. You try new, safe ways to compliment your features. You pick up make-up and style tricks from friends. Maybe you don't like how your nose looks now, but you're still growing. You're 16 and have a lot more years to grow into your look.

You hear stories about girls who "blossomed" after they were 18. Things take time and you should build tolerance. There's a reason you have these features. You're unique (corny .. I know!). Everyone has to live with what they got.

I know this sounds clich鑼? but good things come with time and effort.

I'm going to leave you with a quote that my cousin gave me when I had self-esteem problems:

"The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes."

- Charles Swindoll

Take care sweetie.

I'm thinking about getting my hairline surgically lowered, and I'd also like to undergo Asian rhinoplasty.

i didn't bother reading all that...but you're saying you want to become white, correct? Report It

I'm thinking about getting my hairline surgically lowered, and I'd also like to undergo Asian rhinoplasty.

no. definitely get the surgery.

I'm thinking about getting my hairline surgically lowered, and I'd also like to undergo Asian rhinoplasty.

if you really feel ugly i guess it is your money

I'm thinking about getting my hairline surgically lowered, and I'd also like to undergo Asian rhinoplasty.

You have to just accept your self as who you are!!! wait until you're atleast 21, and are out of school to make such life changing decisions. I wouldn't get a nose job unless it really is f*cked up. just because you'd "like a pointy "caucasian" nose" Isn't a good enough reason. And don't forget the money issue, along with complications and what if something goes wrong and you want your nose back!! There's no turning back after surgery.

I'm thinking about getting my hairline surgically lowered, and I'd also like to undergo Asian rhinoplasty.

Surgery is only a drastic way to heal self confidence. Use it only as your last resort. I assume you're not white...and what's wrong with that? You should embrace rather than change who you are, and what culture you're from. I don't think getting your hairline lowered would be a problem. If you feel it is the right thing to do, then I would go for it. It's better than feeling bad your whole life. Why not talk to a close friend or family member and see what they have to say about it? Maybe they'll tell you you're being silly, and nothing is wrong with you. Maybe you're just critisising yourself too much! You should also talk to a doctor and talk to them about the procedures, what risks are involved, the costs...etc. But, it's your choice, do what you think is right. Good luck!

I'm thinking about getting my hairline surgically lowered, and I'd also like to undergo Asian rhinoplasty.

It's your life, so it's up to you to decide.

My advice though is to not get the surgery.

Caucasian people have caucasian noses.

I'm assuming your Asian. We all get a dice roll on how we look. And we all wish we could change things about ourselves.

I'd say wait though until your older to decide..even older than 20. As we get older our looks change. You may find that the things about you that you found were ugly may turn into attributes that other people find amazing...including yourself.

I'm thinking about getting my hairline surgically lowered, and I'd also like to undergo Asian rhinoplasty.

Life is too short for being ugly. Well if i was you i would do the same, but try to keep it natural as you can.

I'm thinking about getting my hairline surgically lowered, and I'd also like to undergo Asian rhinoplasty.

Think about it a long time and be sure to research a bit before you go into surgery. Find a good cosmetic surgeon, look at their before %26amp; after pictures...my friend was 17 when she got an Asian rhinoplasty and she was very happy with the results. Her self-esteem problems mostly disappeared. I'm not saying that you should definitely get it, because I don't know what's right for you, but make sure you think about it.

About surgically lowering you hairline, surgery is not the wrong answer if it's getting to the point where you can't live without bangs or enjoy other things you want to do (swimming). I mean, how can a person be free and have fun when they are constantly worrying about something?

I'm thinking about getting my hairline surgically lowered, and I'd also like to undergo Asian rhinoplasty.

It is just something you have to think about as an option. Of course it is best to just love yourself the way you are. But if there is something that bothers you ever day and in every picture you take then maybe surgery is an option for you. I'm 23 and my nose bothered me since I was probably 11. So I finally decided to "fix it" and have a nose job...and I'm SO glad that I did. I love my improved nose. Just make sure you get a great doctor.
