It seems like everyone, i mean, everyone has bangs?

ive never had bangs particularly because i have a small %26amp; low forehead and a relatively small face with pretty high cheekbones and i dont think bangs would suit me. but i dont know what to do when i tie my hair because it looks so plain compared to those with bangs who tie their hair.

how do i style my hair without getting bangs? (both up-do's %26amp; down-do's)

%26amp; im asian so i have very straight hair -____-

I agree I agree everyone has layered hair with side bangs or curly hair with straight side bangs, it's so annoying. Try dying your hair os some highlights.

Maybe side bangs would work. push them over to the side. Go for it. They'll always grow back.

does that girl seriously not know what bangs are? Is she living under a rock?

Anyway, Asian people tend to look good with bangs cut straight across, maybe even a little uneven messy look?

Or if your hair will do it, side bangs look nice on just about everyone.

do you live in a hole??!!

okay i'm sorry for that. that was mean. bangs are where the hair is cut shorter in front of your forehead.

get layers that are shorter in the front. that way you do have some hair that is out of your ponytail and things, but you don't look like everyone else.

everyone in my town has side bangs and no one has normal bangs. its different.

you can do the cute pompadour thing with the front section of your hair!

Everyone has bangs because the 80s are trying to come back. It's driving me crazy!

Some things you could do to get cute looks without bangs:

You could let two long strands hang down the sides of your face with your hair pulled back (add a ribbon tied in a bow for a cute affect - my sister does it. She's 19 and it looks adorable... it's that hot high school girl look)

You could braid four sections of your hair going back into a ponytail or do the braids then tie them off with those small black rubber bands and leave the rest of your hair down.

Or you could pull all of your hair into a ponytail and then pull the tie out just a little, stick your finger through to make a hole, then grab your ponytail and pull it through the hole from underneath to the top. Tease it to make it spikey on the top or use a curling iron to make it looks elegant.

Who needs bangs?!

I agree with Katie. I love straight across messyish bangs on Asians. I think they look gorgeous.

You could also try doing a little poof in the front. Just gather the front of your hair and pull it back, twist it a bit, hairspray it, and use a couple bobby pins to secure it. Poofs can look extremely elegant for you updos as well.

Girl, I swore off bangs for Lent like 7 years ago. Don't give in, bangless wonder! If you part your hair down the side or do a zig-zag part, or even get a different hair cut. Layers really give your hair body, too.

hmm... bangs are very "in" now arent they. but remember, like any fad they come and go and will soon be gone. you can go in and get layers, they way you discribed yourself, just get them at the bottem of your hair and framing your face, so it doesnt weigh down your already small face. also get a cut thats about 2 inches below your shoulders or shorter cut for the same reason. for an updo, go and pull up half of your hair and since its layered and shorter , the pony part will be spiky and cute. you can then pull down a piece of hair in the front to accent your facial features. it'll look nice,

I have long straight hair and I dont have bangs either, I pull my hair up in a bun and use decorative hair sticks (like chop sticks) Do not put it too high on top of your head, this looks like pebbles from the flinstones, leave it a little bit loose so you can pull a couple of strands down by your face. This looks natural and flattering. If your hair is all one length just wash , condition and blow dry to mak it perfectly straight. Looks less like a mess. Leave it down, men like this. I don't know why but that is what I've heard all my life from guys. I also pull back half of the hair and braid down the back. I don't do ponytails though. They look too immature, and thats just lazy. take the time and play around with it. Your friends should let you know if it looks good or not. If you are still not shure, go to a professional salon and get their help.

Maybe having chin-length pieces around your face could help? I have a friend who is asian and has chemically straightened hair and her "bangs" are past her chin, but they hang down when she pulls her hair up.

Or, if you don't want a haircut, you could do that pouf thing where people tie their bangs back but make it stick up really high. You could just use your normal pieces of hair and tie the ends back with bobby pins. http://interioroffice.files.wordpress.co... that's a bad pic, but the only one i could find.

also maybe you could loosely braiding or twisting your hair on the sides. this looks really cute and sophisticated, and better if you don't have bangs. Just take some small pieces of hair from around your temple area, either twist or braid along the side of your head pin it place with a bobby pin, then do the same on the other side, then gather all of your hair, including the ends of the two twisted/braided sides, and pull it back into a ponytail or bun with a hair tie.

Lastly, use a head band! They look so cute, and they're so easy to use.
