well im getting my hair done tomorrow.

im asian and i have long, black hair like almost to my waist and its wavy/curley and pretty thick but im usually straightening my hair with the sedu straightner. i would like to cut my hair about alittle lower than my shoulders like maybe a couple of inches and i would like to also get side bangs pretty much like you see "asians girls" wear it.

i would also like to get layers but i dont know if i should get long or short layers and also is there a difference in them?

Everything sounds good! Sometimes its nice to get a change. The only thing is that if you want tlayers, make sure they are long layers. This is because layers can make thick hair (like you said you have,) look poofy. Long layers means that the layers aren't too drastic. Short layers would mean that the layers are cut way above the rest of the hair.

i have been a hair dresser for 15 years and may i suggest if you want layers to get long layers it won't be as noticable on your straight hair and will not look like a step in the back of your head. and a side bang is great like a swooping one not a straignt one

you should get long layers. they complement every face type. and side bangs are cute.

yes there is cuz long layers lives your hairlonger and shoter layers lives your hair shortter i have my hair in short layers and they look pretty nice but it's your decision what ever you like don't try to look go for others but only for you
