Bleaching Mustache?

well i'm an asian, and i have very very light hair on my uppe lip (mustache) and you can kind of notice it if you stand pretty close. (ex, just talking to you face to face, you would be able to tell) and i wonder if bleaching is a good idea?? is it harmful or leaves red spots? How many people have used it and had good results?? Well i just curious that if you bleach it, could the hairs become too blond?? and still be noticeable since i'm a a tan skinned person?

also, what happens when it fades away? does the color of the hair slowly comes back? or does the roots start to fade and slowly works its way to the end of hair?

sorry for all the questions! haha, just curious before apllying a chemical on my face!

Bleaching Mustache?

i have been bleaching my upper lip for many years now, and i'm also asian. it isn't harmful and doesn't leave any red spots. i usually have really good results. the hair becomes blonde when you bleach it, but not too blonde if you keep it on for the right amount of time. just follow the directions included in the package. it usually fades away in a month with the color slowly coming back- it's very unnoticable. don't be so scared! i used Jolen bleach and it works great. my friend had an allergic reaction to the bleach, so just test it on your skin before using. all of this is written inside the instructions sheet included in the box.

Bleaching Mustache?

I burnt my upper lip with this crappy stuff. If it bothers you, wax it!!

Bleaching Mustache?

You can bleach it, but most asians tend to have sensitive skin and you might react to the product once you put it on your skin. So instead of finding that out on your face, test it out on a small section on either your wrist/elbow crease or you chest (somewhere where it wont be seen though) if you dont get a reaction from that, then proceed to use it on your lip. As you bleach you can keep checking it periodically to see how you like the color it is. Lip hair is very fine and you should not notice the blonde as you would elsewhere. The bleached hair wont fade, bleaching removes pigment from the hair shaft so if there were to be any fading (which there wont be) it would be lighter not darker. New dark hairs will come in with time. You could wax your lip which would completely remove the hair, again if you have sensitive skin I would try to aviod that. Waxing causes trauma to your skin. If you wax your eyebrows the result you get will be similar but again the lip is more sensitive then the brow so keep that in mind. Good luck. Hope that helped.

Bleaching Mustache?

follow instructions on the bleach pack...or thread...or wax...or pluck them out...

Bleaching Mustache?

i wax mine. it's actually better than plucking. don't bother to bleach, just wax it. it really doesn't hurt too much, you will get used to it.

Bleaching Mustache?

Yes, these chemicals leave a rash on most people who use them. For some people it will actually burn their skin. With you being darker skin, it may be to light for you. It will only lighten it for awhile then your hair will grow and come in dark again. Go see an Electrolysis. If you just want your upper lip done. Just make sure they are Board Certified.

Bleaching Mustache?

wax it off :)
