How to scrunch my hair?

I'm asian so my hair is like super straight and it's not soft like american hair. it's more coarse then their hair but not extremely hard. Any tips for scrunching my hair? Also my hair isn't thin but its not super thick either, it's medium.

start out with wet hair and add some mousse. dry it with a diffuser while scrunching it w/ your hands. when it is just damp and the major wetness is gone, use a scrunching gel or spray, then let airdry, use a little bit of hairspray when you are done.

you may need to touch it up during the day--- just get your hands wet (water usually works) and rescrunch it

Have you thought about a perm?

If you get a perm you can get whatever kind of curls you wish, and then if you want to wear your hair straight, just straighten it.

This way you can wear it both ways.

If not I would suggest mousse or gel along with a diffuser on your blow dryer. About half way through with the diffuser use hairspray all over, and finish drying. When completely dry put more hairspray.

If this doesn't work I would highly suggest the perm.
