Would it be OK for me to consider myself Semitic or Middle Eastern?

Both of my parents of are Jewish (my mother is Jewish %26amp; my father is of Jewish descent). My mother has dark skin, but she has curly hair and my father looks Asian (wtf?). Anywho, I have a Herbew last name and I'm a reform Jew. Plus, I heard that most Jews are 70% Arabic and I look like an Arab?

I doubt you're Jewish, but you can certainly still consider yourself 100% pure, Grade-A Meshugga!

You can consider yourself anything you want. If you want to be accurate, you'd have to trace your family back a little further than just saying your mother has dark skin and curly hair. You may well be Semitic or Middle Eastern, but that's the only thing that would prove it.

you want us to decide what to do with your confused life?

:) Jews have nothing to to with Arabs, they might look like ,somehow%26gt; mostly those who are from middle eastern countries.

my mother R.I.P. was Jewish, I do consider myself as Jewish man, so if your parents are Jewish, as you said%26lt;typed%26gt; you are considered as Semitic..aka Jewish.

if you are saying ,typing%26gt; your parents are Jewish, why do you want to look like Arab? are you shame of who you're?

I have always just considered myself an American, who cares what color my skin or hair is or of my parents descent.

The Hebrews were no more Arab than the Arabs were Hebrew. There were several groups of Semites during Biblical times: the Amorites, the Hebrews, the Akkadians, the Arameans, the Phoenicians, the Arabs, and others. Some of these groups have lost their seperate identity due to events in history (rise and fall of empires, shifts in borders, and so on).

Yes, you very likely ethnically are a Semitic Causasian.
