I am asian and have what u may call typical "asian" hair. It's verysmooth at the roots until you get down to the last few inches. I do not want to cut my hair. It is now a little wavy and i guess frizzy with volume. Should I use a straightener. I want the sedu but read that they don't last very long. Conair infiniti was my first choice but people say that it's not "real" ceramic. What should I do/ go with? Please help.

Go with the Chi Ceramic not the Sedu. I have both, and the Chi is much better. I am Asian with naturally wavy, thick, hair - not the stereotypical straight (or even semi-straight) asian hair. Check out folica.com to see more selections and other reviews.
